Coventry meeting; Miner's Strike at 40 - The Battle Goes On

I was hoping the Miner's Strike at 40 meeting organised by Coventry and Warwickshire Morning Star Readers and Supporters Group was going to go well, but it far exceeded my expectations.
John Dunn from Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, Rose Hunter from North Staffordshire Miner's Wives Action Group and Jane Nellist from Coventry Trade Union Council were all outstanding.
The contributions were authentic, heart felt and conveyed the camaraderie as well as the injustice of this terrible strike.
The legacy of the strike has impacted British trade unionism for 40 years and the outcome of the strike has resulted in government's since pursuing economic and social policies where 'its the poor what gets the blame, it’s the rich what gets the pleasure, ain’t it all a blooming shame’ .
